The Holiday Tea and Craft Sale was abuzz on Dec. 2 inside the Sunset Ridge Country Club in Northfield, where some 425 bedecked guests came out to support the Rush University Medical Center Junior Auxiliary Board’s fundraising efforts.

Made up of 103 girls representing seven high schools along the North Shore, the auxiliary board donated $61,000 in 2017 and is on track to meet or exceed that goal in 2018. Funds raised are earmarked for programs ranging from an annual principal project to community outreach to in-hospital programs and cancer research funding. The event raised more than $35,000.
